Association for Electrical, Electronic & Information Technologies (VDE)
VDE, the Association for Electrical, Electronic & Information Technologies, is one of the largest technical and scientific associations in Europe. Among others the responsibilities of the Association include the ongoing development of electrotechnology, electronics, and information technology, and their related technologies; supporting the use of electrotechnology and electronics in mechanical engineering, in manufacturing and process automation, transport and medical technology, etc ; the promotion of national and international transfers of technical knowledge. The VDE is represented throughout Germany on a regional basis by 29 regional societies.
The German Association of Consulting Engineers - VBI (Verband Beratender Ingenieure) is one of the leading associations worldwide for consultancy and engineering. VBI member companies always have an eye on the complete life-cycle of a project, from the planning through the use to dismantling and recycling. VBI is a member of the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB). One of the main topics of VBI is the field of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energies. The "VBI Database of German Consultants" provides information on technical consultants or companies, which are specialized in energy consulting amongst others.
The association represents the interests of the leading manufacturers of windows, doors and fronts in Germany. The association supports its members with various services and strategies, in order to open new markets. This includes also the standardisation of test regulations and quality assurance on the European level.
Der WSM vertritt die wirtschaftspolitischen Interessen der Branche und ist einer der größten Wirtschaftsverbände in Deutschland. WSM ist Mitglied im Bundesverband der Deutschen Industrie (BDI) und bei ORGALIME, dem europäischen Verband der Metallverarbeitung und des Maschinenbaus.
Der ZVO ist die Interessenvertretung der Galvanotechnik- und Oberflächentechnikbranche gegenüber Behörden und Politik. Zu seinen Mitgliedsverbänden gehören: der Bundesinnungsverband der Galvaniseure, Graveure und Metallbildner (BIV), die Deutsche Gesellschaft für Galvano- und Oberflächentechnik e. V. (DGO), der Fachverband Galvanisierte Kunststoffe e. V. (FGK), der Fachverband Industrieller Beschichter e.V. (FIB) und der Fachverband industrielle Teilereinigung e. V. (FiT).
Der Zentralverband des Deutschen Baugewerbes vertritt als Wirtschaftsverband die Belange der mittelständischen Bauunternehmen. Er fungiert zudem als Arbeitgeberverband und technischer Verband. Im ZDB sind bundesweit 34 Mitgliederverbände organisiert.
Bundesfachgruppen in den Bereichen Hochbau, Ausbau und Verkehrswegebau und mehrere Ausschüsse, u.a. für Umwelt und Technik, ergänzen das Dienstleistungs- und Beratungsangebot des ZDB.

By agreement with the German Federal Government, DIN is the acknowledged national standards body that represents German interests in European and international standards organizations.

The federal association and the state associations want to support the agents and responsible entities by providing information services and an exchange of experiences. The position paper concerning the vocational description of professions in the environmental consulting industry established standards for the professional field and the qualification of environmental consultants and advisors. In addition to addresses of the individual state organizations and associations, information about publications, environmental consulting, "Local Agenda 21 in Germany – Practical Examples," and the study "Mandatory Environmental Protection Consulting and Information Requirements" are available as well.
The bvse is among the leading specialized associations of the recycling, waste, and refuse industry. The Association is the conglomeration of companies located in the Federal Republic of Germany, which are active in the area of collecting, processing, marketing, utilization, and ecological disposal of wastes.
