Optimized operation of an air compressor unit by means of frequency control
Within the scope of a degree dissertation the existing air compressor unit of the Königsbacher Brewery AG was optimized by means of a frequency converter. Depending on the network’s pressure the converter regulates the rotation speed and simultaneously reduces the number of switching cycles and of operating hours. Consequently, the reduced amount of compressed-air needed during night and on weekends can be provided in an energy efficient and material saving way.
