Energy Storage

Manufacturing concept for the construction of a coffee bag lithium-air cell

The lithium-air battery, with its theoretical energy density of about 3.5 kWh/kg, could represent a suitable storage medium where other electricity storage systems reach their limits in future. Although many research groups worldwide are working on this technology, there are still many technical problems. The project contributes to the development of lithium-air batteries by modifying and further developing existing systems both mechanically and electrically.
