Nanotechnology risk assessment – opportunities and risks of nanomaterials (2011)

Nanomaterials are capable of improving product properties or even creating entirely new properties. As part of the German Federal Government's "High-Tech Strategy 2020", the participants investigate the opportunities and risks posed by nanotechnology for environmental protection processes such as water and air pollution control, soil decontamination or drinking water treatment. Furthermore, they research the effects of synthetic nanomaterials on the environment and on humans. The flyer presents an overview of the research programme.
