Pilot test for the treatment of oily production waste water from food production by means of a flotation centrifuge

The goal of the project was to lower the fat content in the production waste water in a food enterprise. Therefore, a total concept for waste water treatment was provided, which consists of the process steps flotation, flocculation, biological treatment and mechanical drainage. A reduction of the fat content of approximately 15 % could be obtained by structural measures at the rotor.
