New process for the direct extraction of zinc and lead from secondary materials

The objective of the project was to develop and test an alternate, energy efficient method to shorten the zinc cycle. The direct injecting of zinc-containing secondary materials offered several advantages for the relief of the environment. These are avoiding the deposit of dust, the simplification of the entire processing way by omission of the intermediate stages humidification/pelletization, thermal enrichment and hot forming of briquettes.
