Development of a treatment process for the removal of heavy metals from raw waster for drinking water supply using chelating ion exchange resins

Trials conducted in a waterworks have shown that the process technology developed is suitable for the selective removal of heavy metals during drinking water treatment. The regeneration of the ion exchanger resins used for this purpose will only be necessary at lengthy time intervals, thereby reducing the consumption of chemicals.
