Drinking Water

Innovative catalysts for sulfide removal during drinking water treatment in Israel

The developed catalysts for oxidative sulphide removal from water are suitable for the decentralised water treatment at water supply wells in Israel. The project partners regard a combination of catalysts with already existing, but insufficient, aeration systems as the optimum solution for sulfide removal. This method makes drinking water without the typical sulfide odour available to the residents.
