Drinking Water

Integrative management of drinking water dams - Linking quality and volume parameters to optimise operating rules

There are various conflicting objectives in abstraction of drinking water from dams. In particular, the volume available for supply and the specified untreated water quality for the treatment required are diametrically opposed on some factors. The aim of the project partners is to incorporate volume and quality variables into an iterative method for combined optimisation of the operating rules for drinking water dams.
