Drinking Water

Methods for assessment of organic substance removability from drinking water – computer-aided models

The method for assessment of active carbon's capacity to adsorb organic water-borne substances, advanced by the project, facilitates, besides substance evaluation, estimates of whether and to what extent process technology needs to be employed to eliminate substances affecting drinking water from untreated water. The rapid method contributes to fully ensuring the drinking water supply particularly in the event of sudden admission of pollutants to bodies of water.
