Drinking water disinfection using UV-activated titanium dioxide - Test series for technical implementation

Those involved in the project are studying the effectiveness of selected semiconductors for disinfection of drinking water using UV radiation by fitting containers with appropriate catalytically active coatings. Compared to conventional use of chemical disinfectants (such as chlorine), UV disinfection of drinking water does not cause any health or environmental risks.
