Drinking Water

Solar reactors for drinking water treatment in developing countries with high-intensity solar radiation

The supply of clean drinking water to the populations of developing countries depends upon the availability of easy to use and cost-effective drinking water treatment plants. The installations developed use UV and thermal radiation from sunlight to destroy bacteria, and therefore represent an option for treatment which is both effective and allows the conservation of resources.
