Studies on the elimination of organic trace contaminants from drinking water and wastewater through the use of ozone

Ozonation is a method for treating drinking water and wastewater, which is particularly suited for the reduction of organic trace contaminants, such as cosmetics or pharmaceuticals. The current research investigated particularities of the peroxon process (reaction of ozone and hydrogen peroxide) in order to achieve an optimisation of ozonation through the resultant OH radicals.
